*A+ Cosplay Updated - 5/13/2008.*

Just two days to go till I streak out over the heavens above the United States in a shiney Boeing 777 to Chicago for ACEN. It's all fault! I had never heard of ACEN, believe it or not, until I was complementing one of her cosplay outfits on Cosplay.com and she told me about the convention and if I'd like to do photowork with her that's where she would be. It was iffy at first. Money and time needed were scarce and I was having a hard time convincing my girlfriend that we should go, get out of Texas for once, go see how the North does cosplay. She was not very warm to the idea until she discovered that HaliCali was one of the musical guests of honor. In less than a second she went from.. Ehhh... to OMG! WE ARE GOING! So wallah! She gets to see one of her favorite J-Rock/Pop bands and I get to do photowork with some amazingly talented cosplayers.

I have so much to do today! @_@ I have to clean all the photo gear, buy new clothes, get a hair cut, start deciding what to pack and what to leave, ahhhhh! @_@

Expect to see a lot of photos start popping up here after ACEN. I am going to be busy for the next month editing photos from all these shoots. It should take me about two weeks to process all the shots from ACEN just in time to do it all again for A-KON in Dallas. Busy Photographer = Happy Photographer!

Also! Casting call! Well, not really a casting call but if you know a cosplayer that runs around here on DeviantART and I don't have them below in the Cosplayer list please let me know so I can expanded the database and make my page a one stop shop for finding good cosplayers around the community here. This month's featured cospalyer is Korovyev. I met this talented cosplayer at AnimeFest 2007 and have had the opportunity to work with her now on several shoots. She's the kind of cosplayer I love to work with because she takes direction well and is laid back and attentive. Her outfits that I've shot include one of the best Midna's (Legend of Zelda) that I've seen, the sexy Yoko Ritona from Gurren Lagen and the artsy Gankutsuou series's Haydee. She's an active member of the Tx Metroplex Cosplay Coalition in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. More of her work can be seen at Cosplay.com under the same name as the one listed here.
