Friends, it has been a wonderful 9 years of doing cosplay work but I have decided to retire from doing it.    I have met a lot of good people and made some friends and might have even gathered a fan or two.   I appreciate every comment and favorite you've ever given me.   They have meant a lot.    I am no longer able to do this hobby for personal reasons.    It is a hobby that I have loved but it is a hobby that no longer brings me joy to do and so it is time to bow out and let the new generation take over.

I have some more photos to finish up for AnimeFest and MechaCon which I'll share some here and post the rest on Otakuhigh.com and then that's it.    I have cancelled my DeviantART account so no more fancy journal entries but I'll still be around to appreciate other art, comment and chat with anyone that cares to.   Otakuhigh.com will continue to run indefinitely.  Who knows... maybe I'll get my mojo back in 2014.    I am going to ZERO conventions in 2013.   I am focusing my life on other things.

It's time to pull the spotlight around on a cosplay model I've been working with for almost a year now.   In one of the biggest slumps in my life, when I was considering retiring from this hobby altogether, she came along to save the day and bring new life to me and make me want to shoot cosplay again.   She herself is new to the scene but has already generated a huge fan following on Facebook and here on DeviantART, utilizing a lot of the photo work we have done together.   We are working on a super sexy cosplay calendar for 2013 (if the Earth doesn't explode) and it's been a fun process.   She's a sweety in front of and behind the lens.   Good natured, fun loving and even a bit shy though her photos don't show it, I present to you this quarters spotlight; :iconbunnyayumi:

Hello Kuragiman, the reason why I'm here tonight, is because I was wondering if I could have your permission to draw a photo you took? more specifically [link] I've been meaning to practice with a lot of realism, anatomy, the usual stuff, so when seeing this, I thought it'd be cool to practice with.
